The Office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago has announced that President George Maxwell Richards had appointed Friday, November 5, 2010, as the date of the upcoming Divali public holiday.
The aforementioned statement indicated that the decision was made in accordance with the provisions of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act.
