Turkmenistan's President, Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov, has signed a decree declaring Friday, September 10, 2010, as the upcoming Oraza Bayram (End of Ramadan) non-working public holiday.
Contrary to what happened in previous years (19-Sep-2009, 30-Sep-2008 and 12-Oct-2007), this year, Turkmenistan has declared its Oraza Bayramy (End of Ramadan) public holiday one the same date as most of its neighbors.
Oraza Bayramy (or the End of Ramadan) has been a non-working day off public holiday in Turkmenistan ever since the Decree No 2432 "On Id al-Fitr holiday" dated 14 January 1998 (12-Jan-1998).
