The Office Of Public Service Management of the Turks and Caicos Islands has released the list of official public holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands, for the calendar year 2011.
One odd aspect of the published list is the date of March 7, 2011, listed for the Commonwealth Day public holiday. Having re-checked the current legislation regulating official public holidays in the Turks and Caicos, we feel that the date announced by the Turks and Caicos government is incorrect and will be amended in due course, as has often occurred in the past (01-Feb-2010 and 17-Mar-2009).
