Bangladesh's religious affairs state minister, Shahjahan Miah, has announced that the date of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha (Feast of Sacrifice) would in all likelihood occur on November 7, 2011.
The aforementioned date is in line with Government Notification No. 05.173.008.09.00.001.2010-437 which lists the official public holidays for the calendar year 2011 and was approved at a weekly Cabinet meeting a year ago (19-Oct-2010).
