The Central Bank of Egypt has announced that Egyptian financial markets, in particular the Cairo Stock Exchange, would remain closed for an additional week and would only re-open on Sunday, March 6, 2011.
The Cairo Stock Exchange has been closed since January 27 and had been scheduled to re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Earlier this month (13-Feb-2011 and 15-Feb-2011), the Central Bank of Egypt had declared bank holidays for an entire week.
