The government of Bangladesh has declared a one-off regional non-working public holiday in the Narsingdi Pourasava areas on account of the upcoming mayoral and councillors' elections on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
As per the aforementioned announcement, all government, semi-government, autonomous bodies and private offices under the pourasava will be closed.
Similar regional electoral one-off public holidays were declared earlier for this month (29-Dec-2011).
