The vice president of Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Secretary, Kazi Habibul Awal, has announced that the moon of the month of Rabiul Awal Hijri 1433 had been sighted in Bangladesh's sky yesterday and that the Eid-e-Miladunnabi (birthday of the Prophet Mohammad), would be observed on Sunday, February 5, 2012.
The aforementioned announcement, is in line with the "DFIM Circular Letter No. 20" and the "DOS Circular Letter No. 22", and "Govt. Notification No. 05.00.0000.173.08.005.11-325/1(150) dated 03-11-2011" of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (01-Jan-2012) which announced the official list of non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2012.
