The government of Gabon has announced 4 days of public holidays (journées déclarées chômées, payées et récupérables), next week, to allow the people of Gabon to support the Panthères national team in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations football championship.
As per the aforementioned announcement, Monday and Friday, January 23 and 27, 2012, will be one-off public holidays for both the private and public sectors in the Province de l’Estuaire, the gabonese province which includes Libreville, Gabon's capital.
In addition, Tuesday and Saturday, January 24 and 28, 2012, will be one-off public holidays for both the private and public sectors in the Province du Haut-Ogooué, whose provincial capital is Franceville.
