The Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, has issued a decree declaring Wednesday, August 15, 2012, as a non-working public holiday in Lebanon on the occasion of "Fête de l'Assomption".
Once again (15-May-2012 and 21-May-2011), the government of Lebanon's announcement states that the declared public holiday applies to the public sector ("les institutions et administration publiques seront fermées"), but it should be noted that the Central Bank of Lebanon has also listed Wednesday, August 15, 2012, as a bank holiday (30-Nov-2011 and 15-Dec-2011).
