The Portuguese government of Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho has secured an agreement from unions and employers on its planned cancellation of 4 annual non-working Portuguese public holidays.
Last month (), the Portuguese government had announced that it intended to cancel 4 annual non-working public holidays: Corpo de Deus (Corpus Cristi), Assunção de Nossa Senhora (August 15), Implantação da República (October 5), and Restauração da independência (December 1st).
