The government of India's capital have turned down the request of Municipal Corporations to have Chhath Puja which falls on Monday, November 19, 2012, this year, declared a gazetted public holiday.
Respoding to the aforementioned announcement, Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta said that if the BJP came into power in the State, then it would certainly make Chhath, a public holiday.
