The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of the government of Vietnam has made further amendments to the official list of 2013 non-working public holidays in Vietnam, which extend the dates for the upcoming Hung Kings, Liberation Day, and May Day, annual non-working public holidays in Vietnam.
As per the communique released today by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs, the upcoming Hung Kings public holiday (2007-03-29 and 2007-03-24) will lead to public holidays from April 19-21, 2013, while the Liberation Day, and May Day, annual non-working public holidays will be extended to range from April 27 to May 1st, 2013, leading to a 5-day period of public holidays in Vietnam.
In compensation, Saturday, May 4, 2013, has been declared a regular working day in Vietnam.
The aforementioned amends the Document No.9570/VPCP-KGVX, issued by the Government Office early last year (2012-02-05) as the provisional list of 2013 public holidays in Vietnam, and which was already amended by the subsequent vote of a revised Labour Code and its amendments to the official list of non-working public holidays in Vietnam (2012-07-17 and 2012-06-21).
