The Government of India's state of Jammu and Kashmir has released the Government Order No.204-JK(GAD) of 2021 ("Postponement of holiday on account of Shab-i-Miraj") which moves the date of the upcoming Shab-i-Miraj public holiday in Jammu and Kashmir from its initially set date of Thursday, March 11, 2021, to Friday, March 12, 2021.

The aforementioned announcement, signed by the Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, by order of the Lieutenant Governor, states that "In partial modification of Government Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on account of Shab-i-Miraj shall now be observed on l2th March, 2021 (Friday) instead of 11th March, 2021 (Thursday).".

The change of date of the Shab-i-Miraj public holiday to Friday, March 12, 2021, thus amends the list of non-working public holidays in Jammu and Kashmir for the calendar year 2021, as released in the Government Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 ("List of holidays for the calendar year-2021"), late last year (2020-12-25).
