President Bakiev has signed the law making March 24 an annual public holiday, People's Revolution Day, which had finally been voted by parliament on March 13.
That same law had been rejected in 2006 (04-Apr-2006), and the holiday had to be declared by presidential decree in 2007 (16-Mar-2007).
