The Governor of Indonesia's Province of Bali, Made Mangku Pastika, has declared January 14 and 15 as province-wide one-off public holidays on the occasion of the Siwaratri Day (contemplation day for our sins) Hindu festival.
The Governor's decree applies to all employees in government institutions as well as to students of all levels. Private companies are urged to adjust and give their employees an opportunity to also conduct their series of rituals.
