A spokesman for New Zealand's Labour Minister, Kate Wilkinson, has announced that it was "extremely unlikely" that the government would declare an additional public holiday to compensate the overlap of Easter Monday and ANZAC Day in 2011.
In neighboring Australia, The ACT (14-Jul-2010), Western Australia (01-Jul-2010) Southern Australia (08-Jul-2010), the Northern Territory (31-Aug-2010), Queensland (28-Oct-2010), and New South Wales (13-Oct-2010) have declared an additional one-off public holiday for April 26, 2011, for that very same reason.
