For the second time ever, all 4 of Spain's stock markets will remain open tomorrow, on the January 6, nationwide Epiphany public holiday.
This follows the decision in 1998 of all Spanish stock markets to open and close on the same dates, to avoid distortions in quotations, and the move since 2005 to reduce the number of closing days, in an effort to align the Spanish markets on the rest of Europe.
In 2010, the other financial market holidays, apart from January 1, will be Good Friday, Easter Monday, December 24, and December 31.
