Sarawak Could Start Observing Deepavali Public Holiday

The Social Development and Urbanisation Minister of Malaysia's State of Sarawak, Datuk Seri William Mawan Ikom, has announced that Deepavali may soon be gazetted as a public holiday in Sarawak.
Currently, Deepavali is a public holiday in all Malaysian states and territories, except Sarawak and Labuan.
