Property of the script line: PDF Pages.

Use this property to select a PDF file to use in the current PDF Pages script line.

To select or change the PDF file used:

1.Select this property in the properties inspector and click on the ellipsis button.

2.In the PDF selection dialog that then appears, select the PDF file you wish to use.

3.Click on SELECT.

Q++Studio will then perform a quick scan of the selected PDF file to determine its size and number of pages.

Once the scan is complete, depending on your preferences, the name of the selected file may then appear in the scripts editor, as shown on the right.

The scan is used to determine the size and number of pages of the PDF file selected.

The number of pages information is used to update the script's # defined pages property.

The selected PDF file's height and width are displayed in the current script line's Page Size properties.

By default Q++Studio will use all the pages of the selected PDF file. If you wish to use only certain pages, use the selected pages property.

The position of the box containing the PDF, on the page, is determined by the PDF Pages Options and the position of the PDF image within that picturebox, is determined by the Picturebox Options. These 2 options correspond, respectively, to the 2 user interface areas of QuarkXPress, as shown below (the appearance of these settings is very similar in the InDesign user interface).

If the selected PDF file has later been modified, moved, or deleted, the error message 182675 or 182670 will be generated, preventing you from executing the current script. This is the case, even if the file was only modified, since that could mean that the size and/or number of pages has been modified.
